Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Complete account reconciliations, customer setup, and application of customer payments
Invoice customers, accrue rebates, and process gift card orders
Record periodic journal entries to support month-end and ongoing accounting activities
Process, update, and maintain accrual reporting to ensure accurate financial statements
Prepare, interpret, and analyze financial data for reporting and business insights
Conduct account trend analysis to identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities

Required

1+ years of related accounting experience and/or equivalent combination of education and training
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting
Experience working with accounting software systems and financial data platforms
Ability to prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses with minimal supervision
A strong foundation in accounting principles with attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to high-quality work

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred)
Experience with multiple accounting systems or ERP platforms
Exposure to rebates, gift card processing, or customer account management
A continuous-improvement mindset with strong analytical skills
