Senior Manager, Government Pricing

They are seeking a Senior Manager, Government Pricing who will act as a subject matter expert on price calculations and government legislation, ensuring data compliance and supporting financial modeling for contracting decisions.

Responsibilities

Consult with business units to stay current on current contract terms, pricing strategies, and proposals for key generics. Calculate and communicate financial impacts related to gov’t price changes on Teva’s key generics. Modeling may be required to offer insight into the impacts of audit findings, proposed pricing actions, legislative/policy changes, customer Class of Trade changes, etc. – GP Financial Impacts
Forecast and communicate projected AMP, Best Price, CPI penalty, and the Federal URA for key generic products. Provide expertise and guidance on Medicaid URA and PHS/Apexus pricing. – Forecasting
Address data issues evidenced upon interface into GP’s Model N calculation module. Manage monthly data reconciliations in advance of gov’t price calculations to ensure calculations will be based on a complete dataset. – System Data Reconciliation
Manage modeling efforts of IRA inflation rebates to support rebate invoice verification, GTN forecasting, and Brand & Generic Pricing analyses. – IRA Inflation Rebates
Develop regular communications to Government Pricing team’s internal stakeholders to address hot topics, concern areas, and recent trends with respect to government pricing. – GP Newsletter

Required

Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Minimum 3 years of experience within government pricing
Demonstrated broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
Strong understanding of the regulatory requirements as it pertains to contracting, third-party payers, and the government pricing environment
Knowledge of U.S. Government pricing statutes and regulations including knowledge of OBRA 90, OBRA 93, Deficit Reduction Act, VA Healthcare Act, the Medicare Modernization Act, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act
Strong financial analysis skills including extensive familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Ability to prepare and present results to senior management
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across business units and functional areas
Excellent attention to detail, as well as organizational, planning, and written/verbal communication skills

Preferred

Focus in Mathematics, Finance, or related business discipline highly preferred
MBA preferred
Pharmaceutical generic pricing/contracting experience
Forecasting and predictive modeling experience, within government pricing is a plus
