Responsibilities
Respond to regulatory findings (STARs) and translate systemic risks into architectural changes
Assess which components must change to reduce systemic risk and align with regulatory expectations
Design critical platforms to ensure failures do not cascade across the ecosystem
Implement fault isolation, redundancy, and recovery mechanisms across storage and infrastructure layers
Build regulatory controls directly into architecture (instead of relying on monitoring after the fact)
Ensure design patterns include automated evidence generation for ongoing compliance
Design systems to produce continuous evidence for STARs and audit requirements
Implement logging, telemetry, and evidence workflows aligned with regulatory expectations
Modernize legacy systems with open STARs while minimizing regulatory risk and ensuring continuity
Develop phased migration strategies with control validation and risk mitigation
Implement and support NetApp ONTAP 9.x, NFS, CIFS, S3, and SnapMirror DR solutions
Maintain and support enterprise storage infrastructure, including performance monitoring and upgrades
Implement automation using Ansible and REST APIs to improve operational efficiency and consistency
Develop repeatable deployment patterns and infrastructure-as-code practices
Support change management processes, system maintenance, upgrades, and new technology deployments
Provide metrics, monitoring, and performance reporting to leadership and stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP 9.x (NFS, CIFS, S3)
Working knowledge of NetApp SnapMirror for disaster recovery
Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
Solid understanding of networking principles
Mandatory automation experience using Ansible and REST APIs
Experience with AIQUM is required
Experience working in regulated environments and applying compliance controls within architecture
Ability to translate STAR findings into actionable technical changes
Ability to design infrastructure to minimize systemic risk and prevent cascading failures
Strong analytical skills to assess complex environments and propose secure, compliant solutions
Ability to work with auditors, risk teams, engineering, and leadership to implement regulatory controls
Experience with monitoring and reporting tools, capacity planning, and performance analysis
Preferred
Exposure to AWS or Azure storage solutions is a plus
