Responsibilities
Develop, publish, and maintain enterprise reference architectures and technical standards
Lead modernization initiatives, transitioning legacy systems to cloud-native or hybrid environments
Architect and oversee integrations with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Appian, and Microsoft Azure
Collaborate with agency stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business goals and citizen engagement needs
Provide architectural guidance and solution oversight to development teams and project managers
Define and promote data interoperability strategies while ensuring compliance with records retention and data protection policies
Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve service delivery, reporting, and operational efficiency
Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, standards, and technology roadmaps
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Support architecture governance by reviewing solution designs for compliance and alignment with enterprise policies
Develop business capability models aligned with strategic goals and regulatory mandates
Act as a trusted advisor, influencing across teams without direct authority
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of professional IT experience
10+ years of professional IT experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Application development and modernization
Enterprise reference architectures and technology standards
API design and secure system integrations
Cloud solution architecture (Azure preferred)
Developing and executing technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
Translating complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for diverse stakeholders
Preferred
Certifications such as TOGAF 9.x, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Salesforce Certified Application Architect
Experience in state or federal government environments
Familiarity with low-code platforms, especially Appian (case management, workflows, regulatory systems)
Familiarity with Salesforce, geospatial systems, or regulatory data standards
