They are seeking an experienced mechanical product design manager to lead a small team of product design engineers in developing new products for the PlayStation community.

Responsibilities
Manage a small team of talented mechanical product design engineers
Guide team members in delivering overall system mechanical design, including review and one-on-one support as team members implement and deliver detailed CAD or architectural elements of product concepts
Build and manage the relationship with the industrial design team
Set high product standards for reliability and validation, and work with engineering and manufacturing partners to ensure those standards are met
Anticipate challenges in design, manufacturing, productivity, or team culture
Qualification
Required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, or equivalent work experience
10+ years of experience leading mechanical design for small consumer products
3+ years in a personnel management role
Demonstrated experience in designing detailed parts for a wide variety of manufacturing methods, such as injection molding, sheet metal stamping, and CNC fabrication
Demonstrated experience in applying knowledge of various materials and their properties for specific product features & requirements
Demonstrated experience in DFM, DFA, tolerance analysis techniques, and creating 2D drawings
Demonstrated experience in reliability testing & analysis
Exceptional CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred)
Preferred
Experience in the video game industry is not required, but interest and passion for gaming experience, digital entertainment, consumer electronics, and technology is vital
