Responsibilities

Develop and define project technical specifications in close coordination with project sponsors
Support peer engineers, including different disciplines, by providing electrical subject matter expertise for multiple facilities projects
Provide oversight and future-state planning of site electrical distribution system; identify opportunities for system improvements and present utility risk mitigation projects to Facilities & Services team
Lead troubleshooting efforts via structured problem-solving methodologies, coordinate system shutdowns, conduct breaker coordination and arc flash studies
Manage electrical load and capacity data and report out findings and proposed solutions to management, upkeep of site load flow sheets in an ever-changing industrial setting
Identify system upgrades and lead scope, cost estimate, budget, and ROI analysis to justify capital allocation to management
Review and maintain maintenance logs and maintenance budgets, and complete any and all documentation necessary to the completion of a task
Review and approve electrical design specifications, submittals, studies, and drawings for power installations in production facility, central utility plant, and general office areas

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering, facilities, operations management, project management or closely related industrial environment with emphasis on power/utilities systems and/or controls systems OR a Master's degree and 3 years of directly related experience
Demonstrated knowledge of facilities, systems, and infrastructure within an industrial setting
Demonstrated knowledge of facilities low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems including MV switchgear, MV cables, transformers, secondary unit substations, MCCs, PDPs, generators, ATSs, UPSs, protective relaying, motors, motor starters, fuses, O/Ls, VFDs, MVPCBs, MVVCBs, LVPCBs, grounding systems, lightning protection systems
Working, implementing, and maintaining knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 70B
Experience performing load flow analysis, voltage drop and short circuit calculations, overcurrent device coordination, and electrical utility forecasting for industrial facilities and office buildings

Preferred

Knowledge of high, medium, and low voltage distribution systems
Familiarity with short circuit, load flow, protective device coordination, arc flash, and reliability analysis
Experience reading and interpreting one-lines and control schematics
Technical writing proficiency
Advanced skills with AutoCAD and MS Visio, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Access, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Explorer)
Experience performing engineering tasks as an electrical engineer from concept design through construction document closeout, including development of construction drawings, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates
Working knowledge of National Electrical Code, Building Code of Georgia, and applicable local standards
