Responsibilities

Perform loss control inspections, desk top reviews, and account reviews for a wide range of Energy accounts
Determine key loss prevention attributes at various energy facilities
Evaluate hazards associated with various types of turbine generators, power generations equipment and renewable technology
Evaluate overall Management Programs and Maintenance Programs
Evaluate business interruption exposures including Contingent Business Interruption (CBI) and Interdependencies Business Interruption (IBI)
Determine building construction and assess construction characteristics as applicable
Analyze water supplies and sprinkler system demands to determine water supply and sprinkler system adequacy
Identify occupancy hazards and assess the adequacy of their protection features
Identify and assess the impact of external exposures on a facility
Determine fire and natural catastrophe loss estimates for a facility
Conduct consultative visits at customer facilities
Conduct plan reviews
Document survey results in a data-driven report writing application
Mentor and train lesser experienced staff

Required

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
Minimum five (5) years of industry experience in Power Generation and Renewable Energy
Fluent in English and Spanish
Knowledge of a wide range of occupancies, exposures per best business practices
Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems as well as the ability to learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, exercise influence, and manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions
Superb verbal and written communication skills
Position is expected to travel and attend meetings at various offices, fields, plants, facilities and construction sites. Approximately 50% travel through year - predominantly in the US and Latin America countries
Ability to perform physical activities required for the position (i.e., be on feet and walking 8-10 hours a day, safely work at heights)
Ability to understand and appreciate safety training specific to numerous workplace and construction hazards
Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolds, lifts and other access equipment
Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 lbs
Ability to perform work in the outdoors
Ability to wear safety equipment required for the position (hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection)
Ability to safely work in a variety of occupationally hazardous locations
Ability to type at a computer for several hours a day
Ability to drive and safely operate a motor vehicle
