Departmental Analyst 12 / ITB / ITD / PSSS / Project Support Unit

Responsibilities
Serve as the project leader for assigned agency projects or initiatives
Hold project initiation meetings with department business owners to discuss project scope
Explain the information technology (IT) project process workflow
Assist with writing project business requirements, testing, and training plans
Support the department’s IT needs, activities, and direction
Triage and resolve issues, review, recommend, and develop policies and procedures
Provide research for the evaluation and development of applications and programs
Review contracts, agreements, and reports
Lead meetings involving change management and process improvement initiatives
Lead complex projects and work with the Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB), Michigan State Police (MSP) Headquarters and field staff, and multiple vendors from project initiation to completion
Perform duties in a bias-free manner
Qualification
Required
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service
This position requires passing a pre-employment screening, including passing a drug screen, criminal history background check, and a fingerprint check by the Michigan State Police

Preferred
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement
