Responsibilities
Create submittal packages of designed systems utilizing manufacturer’s data sheets
Create design and/or shop drawings for the project to include a list of materials needed for the purchasing department
Design fire protection sprinkler systems within allocated hours for each job
Review EOR documents and spec manuals to determine critical dimensions of design
Perform Hydraulic Calculations using provided software
Design fire protection sprinkler systems with accuracy and detail to enable field installation with few design errors
Provide material list for fabrication
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years hands on experience in Fire Sprinkler construction and design
Fluent with Fire pump controllers, Back-Flows, Dry Systems, Wet Systems, Alarm devices, and produce trouble shooting ability
Have the ability to multi-task and interact well with customers and support staff
Possess proficient office and time management skills while under pressure
Proficient in AutoSprink and HydraCAD software to ensure efficient and accurate production of shop drawings and as-builts, along with Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 20, NFPA 14, UFC 3-600-01 and ETL 02-15
