Responsibilities
Design, structure, and manage reinsurance and insurance-linked vehicles, including reinsurance sidecars
Establish governance, capital alignment, capital efficiency, and risk-management frameworks across platform entities
Ensure coherence across underwriting risk, investment portfolios, and capital structures
Lead engagement with insurance and reinsurance regulators across relevant jurisdictions
Own domicile strategy, regulatory filings, approvals, and examinations
Serve as a senior counterpart to regulators, external counsel, auditors, and advisors
Translate regulatory requirements into scalable, investable platform design
Lead engagement with credit rating agencies (including KBRA / Kroll)
Present directly to ratings committees for:
Insurance Financial Strength (IFS) ratings
Structured product and securitization ratings
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align capital structure and risk profiles with ratings methodologies
Qualification
Required
10+ years in insurance or reinsurance structuring, regulatory strategy, or insurance-linked capital markets
Direct experience with reinsurance sidecars, ILS structures, or specialty reinsurance platforms
Established credibility and relationships with regulators and ratings agencies
Prior experience at a reinsurer, ILS platform, or insurance advisory / structuring environment
Comfortable operating without a large team
