Inventory Management Specialist - COMSEC Manager

Air Force Civilian Service is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist to manage the Communications Security (COMSEC) program at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. Responsibilities

Manage the Communications Security (COMSEC) program by protecting, maintaining availability, integrity, confidentiality and accountability of all locally produced and National Security Agency (NSA) produced COMSEC Key material, publications, and equipment
Knowledge of inventory management policy, guidelines and procedures as it pertains to classified COMSEC material to include storage, transportation, receiving and inventory of key, equipment and aids
Knowledge of Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) programs on Tier 2 and Tier 3. Ability to operate all software and hardware in Tier 2 and Tier 3 of the KMI architecture. Ability to analyze and resolve Tier 2 and Tier 3 hardware and software operational/ configuration problems
Knowledge of DoD COMSEC policy and procedures and knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information for the DoD
Knowledge of computer operating systems such as Windows. Knowledge of structure, contents, codes, internal and external interfaces, update procedures and uses of communications networks, automated systems, and databases
Ability to maintain a computer system, equipment, and software. Ability to analyze basic computer network, software, and hardware problems, and to refer/develop effective and economical solutions
Ability to apply inventory management laws, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, principles, and methods to plan for inventory requirements and accountability of classified COMSEC material
Ability to work with customers to include tact, patience, and oral communications. Must be able to conduct briefings for customers, peers, and high level officials. Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software operational problems telephonically. Ability to maintain good working relationships
Ability to independently analyze and resolve difficult inventory management issues and problems, and to consider and apply several alternatives

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a current 'Top Secret' Security clearance with eligibility to gain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated Position
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate Information Assurance (IA) certification within 6-months of assigned duties
At a minimum, must have at least a bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience for entry
