Kforce Inc is seeking a Project Accounting Supervisor for one of New York's most respected Real Estate Developers. The role involves supervising project accountants, ensuring the accuracy of billing, managing accounts receivables and payables, and participating in financial reporting and meetings.

Responsibilities

Direct supervision of personnel including Project Accountants and Accounts Payable Associates
Project Accounting Supervisor will review and ensure accuracy and integrity of AIA invoice billing
Review and verify billing for fee percentage and insurance
Liaise with clients and monitor collection of billing
In charge of outstanding accounts receivables -manage follow-up inquiries to clients
Monitor cash flow and communicate to senior management
Participate in monthly financial meetings with project managers for monitor progress of project and ensure proper and accurate billing and pay application to client per contract terms
Review and interpret contracts, subcontractor documents, payment terms, insurance, and bond requirements
Review and verify accuracy of final AIA payment application from trade subcontractors
Liaise with vendors and respond to inquiries from general contractors and project managers
In charge of outstanding accounts payables
As a Project Accounting Supervisor, you will monitor weekly check runs and wire transfers
Responsible for close out of the projects upon their completion
Assist with the monthly close process and financial reporting for the Company

Qualification

Construction/project accountingSage 300ProcoreMS ExcelData analysisCommunication skills

Required

7+ years of construction/project accounting experience
Experience with Sage 300 (Timberline accounting software) and Procore (project management software)
Strong communication skills; Both verbal and written
Proficient at an intermediate level with MS Excel
Able to analyze raw data and present it in a meaningful manner to upper management
Willing to work in office 5 days in midtown Manhattan

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
