This internship offers hands-on experience in quantity takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation while collaborating with experienced project teams.

Responsibilities

Assist with quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and models

Support the development of cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals

Help review drawings and specifications to understand project scope and requirements

Assist in gathering pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers

Organize and maintain bid documents, estimate files, and supporting documentation

Participate in pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and internal estimate reviews

Help analyze historical cost data and benchmarking information

Support value engineering and alternative pricing exercises as needed

Perform additional tasks to support successful bid submissions

Required

Strong interest in construction estimating and preconstruction

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications (or willingness to learn)

Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills

Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred

Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Engineering

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating or takeoff software is a plus

Experience in construction, industrial services, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive, multi-site organizations
