ME, Robotics Intern
Cobot is a company focused on collaborative robotics, and they are seeking a Robotics Intern for the summer. This role involves designing and building electromechanical systems, troubleshooting, and learning from experienced engineers in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities
Spend the summer designing and building a complex electromechanical system with the guidance of a full time engineer (e.g. a mechanical test setup, a robot arm, or an end effector)
Troubleshoot and debug electromechanical systems and assemblies
Learn from engineers across test, mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines through mentorship and shadowing
Take part in team standups, demos, and engineering walkthroughs to see how real products come together
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a 4-year engineering program studying Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Biomedical engineering, or a related field
Basic familiarity with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, Creo, Onshape, etc...)
Hands-on experience using tools in the real world
Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and collaborate with others
Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills
Desire to work in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team
Able to work full-time (around 40 hours/week) onsite in Santa Clara, CA for the duration of the internship
Preferred
Knowledge of how to design parts for 3-axis CNC machining
Fabrication experience with 3D printers, laser cutters, drill presses, etc…
Familiarity with how to use a microcontroller (e.g. Arduino) to make a project come to life
