Responsibilities
Formulate and document comprehensive test plans based on product requirements and technical specifications
Execute test plans and test cases on prototype hardware devices to validate functionality and performance
Perform functional, regression, and acceptance testing to ensure product quality standards are met
Log, track, and validate defect resolution using Azure DevOps and other testing tools
Test and regress resolved issues to confirm fixes and prevent recurrence
Reproduce bugs and gather detailed log data to supplement user-reported issues
Identify and close duplicate bugs to maintain clean and actionable defect tracking
Identify and escalate quality risks to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner
Report testing progress and results to project stakeholders with clarity and precision
Collaborate with Program Managers and technical leads to plan, coordinate, and verify software releases across multiple environments
Manage release notes and maintain related documentation throughout the release cycle
Track multiple concurrent git development branches and corresponding builds
Perform software release ring publishing steps and coordinate deployment activities
Conduct post-release validation and coordinate issue resolution efforts
Communicate release status, risks, and approvals to stakeholders effectively
Install software builds on prototype devices and ensure proper configuration
Perform smoke testing using latest builds to confirm devices are fully functional
Maintain accurate device records, including serial numbers and administrative details
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of hands-on manual quality assurance experience
Minimum 1 year of familiarity with software release management processes
Minimum 2 years collaborating with senior software engineering leadership on quality assurance initiatives
Demonstrated experience executing detailed test plans and documenting results
Proven track record working in technical project coordination or software engineering roles
Technical background in quality assurance, QA testing, QA leadership, or software engineering
Manual quality assurance testing and validation
Test plan creation and documentation
Functional, regression, and acceptance testing methodologies
Defect tracking and management using Azure DevOps
Software release management and coordination
Git version control and branch management
Technical communication and stakeholder reporting
Bug reproduction and log data analysis
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft testing tools or device validation processes
Familiarity with secure lab environments and prototype device handling
