Responsibilities
Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure payment solutions on AWS Cloud
Lead architecture and development efforts for ACH, Wire, and digital payment systems
Build and enhance cloud-native payment applications using Java and modern cloud services
Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to deliver innovative payment solutions
Drive adoption of newer trends and innovations in payments and financial networks
Ensure solutions align with enterprise banking standards, security, and compliance requirements
Develop and maintain architecture documents, technical specifications, and procedural guides
Simplify and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Work effectively within large, matrixed banking organizations
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with Java development
Extensive experience with AWS Cloud Architecture
Working knowledge of Azure Cloud architecture
Proven experience designing and building cloud-based payment applications
Strong understanding of enterprise-scale system architecture
8+ years experience in the Financial Services industry
3+ years prior experience working in a banking environment
2+ years hands-on experience implementing digital payment solutions
Strong payments domain knowledge, including ACH, Wire, and payment processing systems
Experience working with financial networks and payment processing platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
Strong ability to simplify complex information and present clear solutions
Comfortable working in large enterprise and regulated environments
Preferred
Experience modernizing legacy payment platforms
Exposure to emerging payment technologies and payment rails
Prior experience leading or contributing to payment transformation initiatives
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in banking
