Coda Search is partnering with a prominent asset management firm specializing in private credit with $50BN AUM. They are seeking a Portfolio Associate responsible for ongoing portfolio monitoring, performance analysis, and valuation support across a diversified private credit platform.

Responsibilities

Prepare recurring portfolio performance reports for internal stakeholders, including senior investment professionals
Analyze portfolio-level and asset-level returns, yield, loss metrics, and attribution drivers
Monitor the ongoing performance of private credit investments, including covenant compliance, leverage metrics, cash flow performance, and credit quality
Assist in the valuation process for private credit investments in accordance with internal policies and fair value guidelines
Partner with investment and underwriting teams to evaluate existing positions, restructuring scenarios, and monitor broader company and sector dynamics
Work closely with Portfolio Managers, Risk, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure accurate data, reporting, and timely decision-making
Support quarterly and annual review processes, including board materials and investor reporting inputs

Qualification

Private credit experienceCredit analysisFinancial statement analysisValuation conceptsCFA progressPrivate debt instrumentsAdvanced Excel

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CFA progress a plus
2+ years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, portfolio management, valuation with asset management, banking or the Big 4
Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and valuation concepts
Experience working with private debt instruments (direct lending, structured credit, senior/junior debt preferred)
Advanced Excel skills
