Regional Program Manager

Responsibilities

Maintain the Project Management Plan: Oversee the project’s governance, scope baseline, and delivery framework, ensuring all activities remain consistent with the approved scope, budget, and schedule
Schedule & Risk Management: Monitor the project schedule for variances, implement corrective actions for delays, and manage the Risk Register to proactively mitigate permitting, technology, or cost risks
Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and submit Monthly Progress Reports (documenting schedule, budget burn rate, and risks), annual reports, and meeting materials for client review
Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the main liaison for the LADOT Project Manager and coordinate effectively with partner agencies including LA Metro and the City of Long Beach
Committee Leadership: Organize and lead quarterly Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meetings and regular Working Group sessions with subject matter experts to unblock barriers and align on strategic direction
Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Facilitate coordination among diverse subcontractors (e.g., design, construction, technology) and third-party mobility partners (e.g., Metro Bike Share, TNCs) to ensure seamless service integration
Operations Oversight: Oversee the Tranzito Operations Team responsible for digital backend monitoring, subsidy administration (e.g., UBM/LIFE programs), and customer service escalation
Field Operations Management: Manage the maintenance framework for physical assets (lockers, signage, furniture), ensuring "first-class condition" through routine cleaning, graffiti removal, and emergency repairs
SLA Enforcement: Ensure strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), such as 99% digital uptime and 48-hour graffiti removal response times
Strategic Initiatives: Assist the CEO with strategic projects, including drafting RFP responses, creating operations documents, and conducting market research
Grant & Revenue Strategy: Support the development of long-term funding strategies, including identifying grant opportunities (e.g., ATP, SCORE) and developing revenue generation models

Required

Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules, budgets, and deliverables for public sector or infrastructure projects
Experience in managing field operations, maintenance workflows, or asset management systems
Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Sites), project management and communication tools such as Asana and Slack, and asset management software like Sitetracker
Ability to utilize LLMs (Large Language Models) for productivity and drafting
Experience in drafting technical documents, RFPs, or strategic plans, and presenting to executive-level stakeholders
Very smart and inquisitive with high critical thinking abilities
Driven to work hard independently and produce great quality work
Great communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with everyone from executives to maintenance staff
Loves transportation and believes in the greater mission of improving mobility

Preferred

3+ years of relevant experience for Manager level
5+ years of relevant experience for Senior Manager level
Ability to relocate to Sun Valley, CA 91352 before starting work
