Monitor and enforce the City's requirement for structural integrity in both government-owned and privately-owned parking structures
Interpret building codes and act as final authority on questions of structural soundness
Conduct research in connection with proposed new buildings and remodeling of existing structures related to the current building code
Inspect the construction of buildings and structures for compliance with building codes and contract provisions
Serve as a technical resource person to the public or other architectural, engineering, and drafting personnel

Required
Perform full-performance professional engineering work reviewing architectural and structural plans for compliance with current building code and sound engineering principles and practices
