Responsibilities

Work with EDSI-Mil Performance, Operability, Aero, Structures, and Product Definition teams towards generating design solutions at the component and system level. Manage requirements and design integration for system/component level solutions
Lead small internal & external teams in developing conceptual, preliminary, and/or detailed component or systems design for small Turbojets (TJ’s). Manage architecture, interfaces, CICRs and customer interactions
Provide engineering support towards procuring engine hardware, support supplier visits, and disposition of quality non-conformances & completion of Engineering Changes
Be Subject Matter Expert (SME) for applicable part families and engine hardware in support of design reviews, field investigations, and customer issues, proposals, and new designs
Work closely with operations, quality, test, procurement, and engineering discipline SMEs to drive root cause investigations, develop associated corrective actions, and implement product and process improvements
Significant interaction with internal and external customers is expected; good communication skills and assertiveness are key qualities to possess
Initiate and manage outsource Statements of Work (SOW) in support of engineering tasks

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience
U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts
Travel less than 10%

Preferred

Experience with Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter
Experience with ANSYS, system level tolerance stack-ups, or similar analysis tools and methods
Experience with project and risk management
Familiarity or exposure to hardware procurement and/or tracking
Proficiency with SAP
Strong multi-disciplinary knowledge of jet engine systems/modules and their interaction
Experience integrating engine systems into vehicles
Experience with jet engine component design or analysis
