Responsibilities
Champion a strong Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) culture by ensuring full compliance with client policies, while also holding external partners—including O&M contractors, EPC firms, and consultants—to the same rigorous standards
Lead the development of reliability strategies for high-voltage substations and collection systems, building strong technical justifications to address plant performance challenges and support ongoing continuous improvement efforts
Own the execution of the site’s electrical safety program, aligned with OSHA 1910 and NFPA 70E, including arc flash studies, long-term arc flash management planning, and oversight of electrical and mechanical integrity programs
Qualification
Required
10+ years of hands-on experience supporting the energization and commissioning of high-voltage substations across solar PV, BESS, and wind power facilities
10+ years of experience working with HV substations across transmission, distribution, or power generation environments
A proven hands-on technical leader who thrives in the field—serving as the electrical SME during major outages, applying advanced troubleshooting skills, and staying engaged until systems are fully restored
Deep technical expertise in the design, operation, and troubleshooting of substation and electrical systems, including: Switchgear and MCCs, Protection relays (line distance, feeder, differential, high impedance), Transformers and substation infrastructure
Champion a strong Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) culture by ensuring full compliance with client policies
Lead the development of reliability strategies for high-voltage substations and collection systems
Own the execution of the site's electrical safety program, aligned with OSHA 1910 and NFPA 70E
Preferred
An engineering degree is preferred; however, candidates with a technical diploma plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with significant field expertise, will also be considered
