Responsibilities
Lead electrical bring-up, controls integration, network configuration, and sensor validation for new and existing test setups
Diagnose electrical, firmware, and network failures across PLCs, DAQ systems, DC power supplies, chillers/thermal controllers, and automation hardware
Configure and maintain managed switches, VLANs/subnets, static IP maps, and controller-to-server communication; resolve connectivity issues across the test environment
Build and maintain Python scripts for automated diagnostics, health monitoring, log parsing, and rapid debugging
Maintain consistent firmware versions, IP tables, wiring standards, and hardware configurations across multiple setups
Perform preventative audits, execute hardware upgrades, and retrofit engineering changes into deployed systems
Collaborate with Test Automation, Controls, Systems Engineering, and Mechanical teams to resolve integration blockers
Maintain detailed system configurations, track known issues, and document setup-specific quirks to prevent repeated failures

Commission & Bring-Up: Lead electrical bring-up, controls integration, network configuration, and sensor validation for new and existing test setups
Troubleshoot & Root-Cause: Diagnose electrical, firmware, and network failures across PLCs, DAQ systems, DC power supplies, chillers/thermal controllers, and automation hardware
Networking: Configure and maintain managed switches, VLANs/subnets, static IP maps, and controller-to-server communication; resolve connectivity issues across the test environment
