Nuclear Sales Engineer (Entry-Level)

Berkeley Nucleonics Corporation is seeking an entry-level Nuclear Sales Engineer to support customer-facing activities across radiation detection, nuclear instrumentation, and isotope identification solutions. This role is well-suited for a recent graduate who wants to apply a nuclear engineering background in a commercial, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Support customer-facing technical sales activities, including calls, demos, site visits, and follow-ups
Assist in understanding customer requirements and aligning them with appropriate technical solutions
Prepare technical presentations, proposals, and quotations
Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams (sales, engineering, operations)
Participate in discussions with end users, integrators, and program stakeholders
Provide light hands-on support such as basic troubleshooting or system familiarization (not a repair-focused role)
Maintain CRM records, opportunity tracking, and customer documentation
Attend occasional customer visits, training, or industry events (approximately 10% travel)

Required

Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
0–1 years of professional experience (internships, lab work, or co-ops acceptable)

Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Interest in technical sales, applications engineering, or customer-facing roles
Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred

GPA of 3.0 or higher (or equivalent)
Exposure to radiation detection, nuclear instrumentation, or isotope identification
Internship or project experience involving customer interaction or system integration
Familiarity with government, defense, or national laboratory environments
Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho CRM
