Regional Finance Manager
The New Mexico Finance Authority (NMFA) is seeking a qualified individual for the Regional Finance Manager position. This role involves representing NMFA throughout the state, working with various entities to structure loans and grants, and providing financial analysis to assist clients in obtaining NMFA financing.

Responsibilities
Represent NMFA throughout the state and work with private entities, local governments, municipalities, counties, and others to originate and structure loans and grants using NMFA’s financing programs
Work with public entities and financial advisors to assist entities in obtaining NMFA financing to meet their community’s needs in effective and efficient ways
Work with the NMFA Credit Department to perform financial analysis of revenue streams, financial outlooks, and relevant program policies to advise clients of options that prudently address their needs
Market and assist in underwriting financing applications for NMFA’s private lending programs such as the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) Programs, New Market Tax Credits (NMTC), Opportunity Enterprise Commercial and Housing development programs, and other initiatives created to provide access to capital for businesses and foster statewide economic development
Market NMFA’s programs through extensive in-state travel and client contact, work with clients on potential projects, underwrite applications, present projects to committees and boards for approval, and coordinate the processes leading to closing
Qualification
Required
Experience marketing lending programs and relationship-building with clients
Underwriting of technically complex projects, including infrastructure and other multi-phase projects for public entities and for-profit and nonprofit private entities
Experience in accounting, banking, finance, budget management, or a similar field
Excellent technical report writing, verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field
At least five years of relevant experience
Strong presentation skills as financing recommendations are regularly presented to committees and Boards of Directors
Ability to balance multiple projects, analyze large volumes of data, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Understanding of New Mexico local government financial management methods and procedures
Bachelor's degree

Presenting to Committees and / Boards: 5 years
Marketing lending programs: 5 years
Technical writing: 2 years
