Grant Compliance Representative (Office of Housing & Community Empowerment - Non-Civil Service)
The City of Dallas is seeking a Grant Compliance Representative to oversee the development, coordination, and administration of grants. This role involves evaluating grant applications, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating with funding sources to support the city’s programs.

Responsibilities
Coordinates grant-funded programs and courts for the City of Dallas and reviews funding available through grants from governmental, state and federal agencies to determine feasibility of developing programs to supplement local annual budget allocations
Coordinates with representatives of funding sources to apply for grant term extensions, grant agreements, applications or budget adjustments; consistently develops understanding of various grants and business processes to ensure compliance with grant administration and activities
Interprets federal, state, and tribal government laws and regulations regarding grant contracts and administration; provides professional understanding and explanation and serves as an internal resource of various grant funded programs and their related requirements
Reviews Grant applications for compliance with regulatory standards with internal policies and procedures; researches and reviews information submitted for Grant reimbursements
Monitors and reconciles grant-funded expenses and revenue; analyzes, monitors, and makes recommendations on grants and build grants budgets; reviews grant applications for compliance and with regulatory standards and internal policies; prepares grant related agenda items for council and communicates with City departments, managers, outside auditors, vendors, and service providers to obtain necessary information
Assists and supports the development and submission of accurate reports within defined federal timelines
Reviews grant announcements, notice of funding opportunities, and requests for proposals
Assists customers with Grant application processes and communicates policies and guidelines on grant reimbursements
Conducts grant information seminars, workshops, meetings and training for prospective Grantees; attends and participates in a wide range of meetings and coordinates grant related activities
Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned
Qualification
Required
3 years of professional experience working with grant funded programs, administration, or other related experience
Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, business, education, communication, or other social services
Knowledge of public administration and governmental environments
Presentation skills in order to facilitate grant information seminars, workshops, meetings, and trainings
Ability to analyze operational and program statistics to assess effectiveness
Ability to research and reconcile submitted grant reimbursement information for accurate payment processing
Ability to work with a wide range of collaborators and partners including agency/program staff, government, private and corporate funders, other non-profits, and affinity groups
Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision and meet deadlines
Communicating effectively verbally and in writing
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
