Director, CFO Services

Responsibilities

Oversight and execution of all financial administration tasks for high-net worth families
Polished communication with internal and external stakeholders
Family entity bookkeeping, which may include individuals, revocable trusts, or other related entities
Timely, accurate, and reliable bill pay and financial reporting
Cash management services including ensuring sufficient funds exist to make required payments
General ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost allocations
Maintain sources and uses of cash reporting for family members
Support financing and financial operations related to residential holdings and acquisitions
Interface with clients, and client advisors (investment, tax, other), and others on CFO Services team to ensure excellent communication takes place
Manage accounting service team and coordinate of efforts/projects across service lines (Family Office Services/Specialty service lines (Insurance, Estate and Gift, Philanthropy)
Schedule resources to provide day-to-day service and special projects such as financials for non-accounting clients, tax workpapers, etc
Train and manage accounting staff, review daily work, and encourage professional growth
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for basic accounting, software needs, and proper communication techniques

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields
12+ years' experience in investment accounting, public accounting, fund administration, family office, private equity accounting, or other investment related entities
Supervisory and team building experience with an emphasis on creating positive work environments and developing employees, ensuring high work quality and client satisfaction
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify financial concepts and educate a less sophisticated audience
Coordination with internal wealth advisory personnel, and external advisory firms such as tax, legal, and wealth advisory with an emphasis on identification of issues and implementation of new initiatives
Experience in investment accounting and general ledger software applications
Ability to multi-task, thrive and adapt in a dynamic, time frame-driven environment
Desire to learn, gain experience, and to assume additional responsibilities
Extraordinary organizational and project management skills

Preferred

Professional designations desired: CFA, CFP, CPA
QuickBooks Online experience preferred
Bill.com experience preferred
