Responsibilities
Engage in cutting-edge research in the dynamics of lattice-based mechanical metamaterials
Develop an independent research programme within the designated area
Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team
Engage with industrial partners
Seek opportunities to translate research outcomes for wider impact
Publish in high-quality journals
Present at leading conferences
Participate in relevant academic forums and training activities
Contribute to the wider university research environment through activities such as seminars, workshops, and early career researcher forums
Support knowledge-sharing with project stakeholders
Contribute to leadership, teaching, management and engagement activities linked to the project’s delivery and impact
Qualification
Required
Strong background in structural dynamics
Strong background in wave propagation
Strong background in smart structures
Strong background in mechanical metamaterials
Ability to contribute across computational and experimental investigations
Expected to publish in high-quality journals
Expected to present at leading conferences
Expected to participate in relevant academic forums and training activities
