LSE Technical Undergraduate Intern - Engineering

Responsibilities

The intern will assist with on-going research projects at the SRNL Engineering Development Laboratory
The Engineering Development Lab (EDL) is a facility at SRNL that historically design, builds, and tests large scale test rigs to support SRS and other DOE sites
Duties could include reviewing & creating engineering drawings, becoming familiar with SRS procedures, and participating in the design & testing of large-scale experimental test rigs

Required

HS (or Equiv) + 1 or more yrs of university education
Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, electrical engineering or a related field
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.4 or higher and submit a transcript prior to hiring
Have educational or research laboratory experience
Think critically, analyze data, and integrate these skills into effective experimental design, execution, and reporting
Develop partnerships with internal team members of different backgrounds
Effectively communicate (verbal & written) technical results
Understand their own job and how the role interacts with their team
Gain support for ideas within the team
Work safely with particular attention to quality. Comply with all policies and standards
Must be a U.S. Citizen
