Responsibilities
End-to-End Audio Validation
Design and execute test strategies across the complete audio signal chain—from application layer to speakers and microphones
Android & Linux Audio Integration
Validate audio routing, concurrency, latency, and performance across Android and Linux audio stacks in a virtualized environment
Multimedia & Connectivity Testing
Test media playback, voice recording, Bluetooth telephony (HFP), and smartphone projection systems including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Acoustic Quality Validation
Evaluate Echo Cancellation and Noise Reduction (ECNR) performance under various real-world driving conditions
Safety-Critical Audio
Ensure 100% reliability for vehicle alerts such as chimes, AVAS, horn integration, and other safety-related sounds
Advanced Debugging
Analyze Android and Linux system logs to diagnose audio artifacts, routing issues, and system conflicts
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in audio testing and validation (Automotive, Mobile, or Consumer Electronics)
Hands-on knowledge of: Android Audio Stack (Audio HAL, AudioFlinger)
Linux Audio Frameworks (ALSA)
Experience working in QA/Test Engineer roles for audio products
Familiarity with multi-OS or virtualized environments (Guest/Host architectures)
Experience validating Apple CarPlay and Android Auto audio behavior
Proficiency with audio analysis tools such as Audio Precision, Adobe Audition, etc
Experience using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
Basic scripting skills for automation (Python/Shell)
Preferred
Automotive audio experience (Chimes, AVAS, V2X alerts)
Knowledge of Bluetooth audio profiles (HFP, A2DP)
Ability to create automation scripts for testing and log analysis
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Signal Processing preferred)
