Responsibilities
Performing all secretarial assignments relevant to the Maintenance & Operations Center of Physical Plant
Complete payroll related duties in a timely and accurate manner which involve inputting, updating & maintaining employee Kronos information as well as department Time Distribution Sheets
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers which includes answering and screening telephone calls, performing receptionist duties, and handling/referring customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
Update and revise employee departmental job descriptions and prepare documentation for recruitment of vacancies
Maintain adequate levels of office supplies and order items when necessary
Assist in responding to emergency situation following all established protocols and procedures
Maintain log book regarding elevator repairs, vehicle usage, key distribution
Enter and update work orders in an accurate manner
Complete other secretarial duties such as typing correspondence, running computer generated reports, opening and distributing mail, copying/faxing, etc
Assist in other areas of the department on an as-needed basis

NYS Department of Civil Service Eligible List or eligible for transfer
