Responsibilities
Installing and configuring the Dynatrace OneAgent on Linux/Windows hosts
Deploying the Dynatrace ActiveGate (Environment ActiveGate + Cluster ActiveGate)
Experience integrating Dynatrace with Kubernetes / GKE, including:
OneAgent Operator / Dynatrace Operator
Kubernetes monitoring setup
Auto discovery setup
Setting up deployment automation using Helm charts or Terraform
Configuring:
Management zones
Tagging rules (automatic and manual)
Host groups
Alerting profiles & maintenance windows
Setting up synthetic monitors, log ingestion, and custom event alerts
Configuring infrastructure monitoring for GCP services (e.g., Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, GKE, Cloud Storage)
Enabling APM for Java, .NET, Python, Node.js applications running on GCP
Setting up distributed tracing, service flow, and problem detection rules
Knowledge of OpenTelemetry (optional but valuable)
Building Dynatrace dashboards using:
Custom charts
Data explorer
Dashboard JSON templates
Experience creating role based dashboards for leadership, operations, and development teams
Skill in defining KPIs, SLOs/SLIs, and visualization best practices
Integrating Dynatrace with:
GCP Cloud Logging
Cloud Monitoring (Stackdriver)
ServiceNow, Jira, PagerDuty, or other ITSM tools
CI/CD pipeline integration (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
API knowledge for:
Metric ingestion (Metrics API v2)
Configuration API
Automation of tagging and alerting rules
Understanding Dynatrace IAM roles and permissions
Ensuring tag based governance and secure traffic between OneAgents and ActiveGates
Compliance with enterprise monitoring policies
Qualification
Required
