Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Document Controllers to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality document control support
Oversee incoming and outgoing submittals, responses, correspondence, and documentation using Trimble Unity Construct (TUC / eBuilder)
Ensure documents are properly received, reviewed, categorized, tracked, archived, and accessible per agency policies
Monitor team performance, workloads, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
Develop, implement, and improve document control processes, standards, and workflows
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet document control requirements and project priorities
Proactively identify, resolve, and communicate issues, risks, and progress to management and project stakeholders
Perform quality assurance, quality control, and audits to maintain document repository standards
Ensure compliance with document control, records management, and retention policies
Mentor team members and promote continuous improvement, efficiency, and customer service excellence

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Document Control Manager
At least three (3) years of prior experience as a Document Controller within engineering and/or construction environments
Proven experience managing document control for large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in transportation
Proficiency in Trimble Unity Construct (eBuilder) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong knowledge of records management concepts, procedures, and standards
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in issue resolution, reporting, and prioritization
Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of submissions

Preferred

Experience working on transportation-sector infrastructure projects
Prior experience supporting PANYNJ or similar public-sector agencies
