Lifecycle Marketing Strategist (Email + SMS)
Retencity is a company dedicated to driving growth for fast-growth and enterprise brands. The Lifecycle Marketing Strategist will be responsible for developing and executing email and SMS strategies that enhance customer engagement, retention, and revenue for a portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities
Own lifecycle strategy across email and SMS, with accountability for list growth, activation, retention, engagement, and revenue
Build and maintain a clear lifecycle roadmap for each client, including prioritization and testing plans
Design and oversee evidence-based tests, from hypothesis through analysis and applied learning
Partner closely with Specialists and Designers to translate strategy into high-quality execution
Maintain channel health across segmentation, content strategy, list hygiene, and deliverability
Lead client communications, including strategy presentations, ongoing performance discussions, and expectation setting
Stay current on lifecycle, loyalty, and CRM trends to inform recommendations and innovation
Qualification
Required
5-7+ years of experience owning lifecycle, email, and SMS strategy, ideally in an agency or multi-brand environment
Deep experience in eCommerce or retail lifecycle marketing
Proven ability to drive measurable lifecycle revenue and retention outcomes
Strong testing background, including hypothesis development, measurement, and iteration
Experience supporting or integrating loyalty strategies within lifecycle programs
Comfort working directly with senior client stakeholders (Director+ level)
Hands-on experience with platforms such as Klaviyo, Attentive, Iterable, Braze, Pardot, or similar
Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear strategic direction
Strong writing and communication skills, with a desire to keep improving
High ownership mindset and comfort operating in a fast-moving, remote environment
Experience improving and restructuring CRM and marketing tech stacks
Preferred
Mobile App, Push, Web Push, or In-App Messaging experience
