Research Technician (Part-Time Temporary)
University of Nebraska Medical Center is seeking a Research Technician to assist with a research study on cognitive care planning. The role involves recruiting patients and caregivers, conducting data collection, and coordinating between the BrainCheck team and UNMC staff.

Responsibilities
Study recruitment: RA will work with PI and division faculty to review the EHR to identify eligible candidates
Screen and consent: RA will contact candidate and family caregiver to discuss study and consent interested individuals for the study
Data collection: RA will attend clinic visits to connect candidates with BrainCheck software when indicated, and help physician with printing BrainCheck report and then uploading into EMR. RA will also time visits, and met with patient/caregiver after visit to administer survey instruments
Chart review: RA will monitor enrolled subjects during study via EMR review, and gather data at the prescribed timepoints
Coordination between BrainCheck and UNMC: RA will interact with BrainCheck team for troubleshooting of interface and software issues. RA will also work with UNMC PI and Geriatrics clinic staff and faculty to optimize study workflow
Qualification
Required
Experience in research study recruitment and data collection
Ability to work with electronic health records (EHR)
Strong communication skills to interact with patients and caregivers
Experience in obtaining informed consent from study participants
Ability to administer survey instruments effectively
Familiarity with EMR systems for chart review and data monitoring
Coordination skills to work with multiple teams and troubleshoot issues
