Business Development Representative (SLED)

Responsibilities

Identify and reach out to key stakeholders in State and Local government (DOTs, Public Works, Public Safety)
Work with Google Public Sector reps to find new opportunities and co-sell our solutions
Use your knowledge of procurement vehicles and budget cycles to help move projects from a 'conversation' to a 'contract.'
Set high-quality discovery meetings for our Account Executives by explaining the value of our safety and infrastructure solutions

Required

2+ years of SLED/Public Sector sales experience. (If you've sold to government, we want to talk to you)
Remote Discipline: You know how to stay productive and hit your numbers from a home office
Strong Research Skills: You can find out who owns the budget and what their top priorities are for the year

Preferred

SLED Savvy: You understand how government agencies buy. You know what an RFP is, but you also know how to avoid them by using cooperative contracts and partnerships
The Hunter Instinct: You are self-motivated and persistent. You enjoy the challenge of reaching a busy official and starting a meaningful conversation
Partner-Minded: You understand the power of 'better together.' You're comfortable collaborating with external partners (like Google) to win
Great Communicator: you can take a complex idea and make it sound simple and urgent to a City Manager or a Department Head
