This role involves a mix of templated and custom law & motion work, requiring extensive legal research and original drafting for various motions, as well as court appearances.

Responsibilities
Draft and oppose a variety of motions, including motions for summary judgment/adjudication, demurrers, motions to strike, motions in limine, and discovery-related motions
Conduct thorough legal research to support ongoing litigation
Collaborate with trial attorneys and litigation teams to develop a strategy
Prepare legal memoranda, oppositions, and replies
Review and analyze discovery responses, deposition transcripts, and medical records as needed for motion work
Ensure timely filing and compliance with all applicable deadlines
Appear in court, including covering depositions and making in-person and virtual appearances on behalf of the firm
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience handling law and motion in personal injury litigation (Plaintiff or Defense)
Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage high-volume motion work while meeting tight deadlines
Familiarity with local rules in Los Angeles and the surrounding counties
Proficiency in Westlaw, Microsoft Office, and legal case management systems
