Director of Sales - Majors (Jewelry & Timepieces)
Confidential company is seeking a Director of Sales - Majors (Jewelry & Timepieces) to manage and grow sales and distribution with major department store retail partners. This role involves leading a sales team, developing sales strategies, and cultivating client relationships to drive profitable sales growth in the fine jewelry and timepieces industries.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the full-price Timepieces and Jewelry sales team to achieve sales and profit performance by brand, implementing strategies to drive profitable sales growth
Develop and execute sales strategies in collaboration with the team, analyzing business performance daily/weekly/monthly/seasonally to achieve sales and margin goals
Manage all aspects of the sales process, including open-to-buy, gross margin analysis, and markdowns, ensuring effective management of budgets and resources
Cultivate and strengthen client relationships with buyers, ecommerce sites, and department stores, expanding wholesale distribution to non-traditional retail partners
Develop account-specific product initiatives and negotiate financial plans to secure budget and drive profitable sales
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, content, and marketing to exchange information and effectively manage the brand
Stay abreast of emerging trends and monitor the changing retail landscape, proposing new strategies to capitalize on market opportunities
Present strategies and financial plans to senior management and large groups, demonstrating exceptional presentation and negotiation skills
Manage annual marketing spend, promotional calendar, shippable budget, and markdown budget to mitigate inventory risks and optimize sales performance
Solicit and open new accounts, building strong relationships with senior management at key accounts to maximize growth opportunities
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in progressive sales roles, with a proven track record of success in fine jewelry and/or timepiece sales and account management
Experience working with major retailers and handling large-volume business is required
Strong understanding of retail math and sales analytics
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first approach to partnership
Strong selling and negotiation skills, with a keen understanding of market dynamics and competitive landscape
Ability to thrive in a changing environment with shifting priorities; demonstrating adaptability and resilience
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with order management or RLM a plus
Ability to travel as needed for trunk shows, market appointments, industry events, or account meetings
Preferred
Bachelor's degree business administration, fashion merchandising, or a related field is preferred
