This is a hands-on role focused on the design, analysis, verification, and validation of new and customized mechanical products from concept through launch.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test mechanical products for new and custom applications
Perform mechanical modeling, drafting, prototyping, and testing
Complete design verification and validation to ensure compliance with specifications
Conduct mechanical analysis and simulations (stress, fatigue, durability, FEA)
Support new product launches and transition designs from R&D to production
Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and support continuous improvement
Identify and mitigate design and project risks using structured methodologies (FMEA, APQP)
Select materials and recommend appropriate manufacturing processes
Support corrective actions, root cause analysis, and on-site inspections as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
3–7 years of mechanical engineering experience
Strong background in design verification, validation, and risk analysis
Hands-on experience with FEA and simulation tools
Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling software
Solid understanding of mechanical drawings and design requirements
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience in automotive, agriculture, aerospace, or medical device environments preferred
Local Omaha candidates are preferred, though relocation support is available for the right candidate
