Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain SolarWinds, Opsview, and Zabbix monitoring tools
Investigate and resolve L2-level issues related to monitoring failures, alert inaccuracies, and dashboard discrepancies
Create and manage dashboards, alerts, and reports for infrastructure and applications
Integrate monitoring tools with ITSM platforms for automated incident creation
Configure and maintain SolarWinds modules (NPM, SAM, NTA, etc.)
Integrate SolarWinds with ITSM tools for automated ticketing
Apply patches and updates to SolarWinds platform
Fine-tune thresholds and alerting rules to reduce noise and false positives
Implement escalation policies and notification workflows
Monitor servers, network devices, storage, and applications for performance and availability
Perform trend analysis and capacity planning using monitoring data
Develop scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for custom checks and automation
Maintain documentation for monitoring configurations and processes
Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards
Hands-on experience with SolarWinds, Opsview, and Zabbix administration
Strong understanding of SNMP, WMI, API integrations, and network protocols
Experience in alert optimization and performance tuning
Familiarity with Linux/Windows environments and virtualization platforms
Basic scripting knowledge for automation
Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment
Excellent communication and documentation skills
