Innovation Data Analyst
The Oklahoma Indigent Defense System is dedicated to providing exceptional services in tax compliance. The Innovation Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets to support strategic business decisions and enhance the agency's products and processes.

Responsibilities
Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs
Collect and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness
Work closely with business teams to present data-driven insights and recommendations
Develop and implement reports, dashboards, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Interpret complex data and present findings in a clear and understandable way
Create visuals and dashboards to communicate data insights effectively
Identify data issues and inconsistencies and recommend solutions for improving data quality
Ensure compliance with data governance policies and industry regulations
Support decision making with data-driven insights and strategies
Assist in the development and automation of data analysis processes
Perform other job duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field
Two years of professional experience in statistical modeling and/or data analytics
Knowledge of data processing hardware and software; of computer capabilities; of systems analysis and development; of coding and implementation; of project management and documentation
An in-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making
An understanding of requirements gathering, data analysis, process specification, validation, and management practices
Data modeling, data mining, and segmentation techniques
Data visualization tools and best practices
Analytical and systems thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Prioritizing, scheduling, organizing, and allocating work with competing deadlines
Writing for business or technical audiences, presenting information, and negotiating
Collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Writing SQL queries and reports and presenting findings
Version control and working in a team environment within GitHub
Data modeling in SQL and/or Python
Ability to work independently and coordinate a wide variety of activities
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures
Ability to create charts and graphs utilizing data visualization best practices
Ability to clean and transform data sets for analysis and reporting
Ability to solve complex problems using statistical analysis
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Possession and maintenance of a valid Oklahoma State Driver's License
Preferred
Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies
Experience with Qlik Analytics, DBT, Snowflake or Google BigQuery
Experience with predictive modeling in a production environment
