Responsibilities
Query, manipulate, and analyze large datasets using SQL (Snowflake exposure is a plus)
Perform detailed analysis supporting CAT loss forecasting and CoR metrics
Conduct peer reviews of complex Excel-based reports
Build geospatial dashboards (ArcGIS or similar) to visualize catastrophe risk and loss exposure
Create clear, consumable views for actuarial and risk leadership
Shadow actuaries to learn and support the Concentration of Risk (CoR) framework
Provide analytical backup for quarterly CoR reporting
Research and prototype new CoR metrics and projections
Act as liaison between modeling, data, and reporting teams
Support migration of data infrastructure from SQL to Snowflake
Contribute ideas to improve enterprise risk management strategies
Qualification
Required
Actuarial or actuarial-adjacent background (insurance, risk, CAT modeling exposure)
Strong SQL for querying and data manipulation
Advanced Excel skills (complex reports, reviews, analysis)
Geospatial analysis / visualization experience (ArcGIS preferred)
Extremely high attention to detail

CAT models (RMS, AIR, Verisk, etc.)
Climate risk or meteorology exposure
Dashboarding beyond ArcGIS (Tableau, Power BI as secondary)
