Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable Oracle-based data models and Informatica ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple source systems into data warehouses and data marts
Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and application teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs, source-to-target mappings, and ETL specifications
Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages to implement complex business logic, aggregations, and calculations within the database for high-performance analytics
Implement robust data quality, validation, and reconciliation checks within ETL and database processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data delivered to stakeholders
Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune Informatica workflows and Oracle queries, resolving production incidents, performance issues, and data discrepancies within defined SLAs
Maintain documentation such as technical design documents, data dictionaries, and ETL process flows, and contribute to standards and best practices for data engineering
Partner with analytics and reporting teams to ensure that data models and ETL outputs support business KPIs, self-service reporting, and advanced analytics use cases
Participate in code reviews, release planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, reusability, and efficiency of the overall data platform

Participate in code reviews, release planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, reusability, and efficiency of the overall data platform
Strong data modeling experience on Oracle, including conceptual, logical and physical models, normalization/denormalization, star/snowflake schemas, and design of fact and dimension tables for data warehouse and reporting use cases
Advanced Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills: writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, bulk operations, exception handling, and performance tuning using execution plans and indexing strategies
Hands-on Informatica PowerCenter (or similar Informatica ETL suite) experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL mappings, mapplets, sessions, workflows, and reusable transformations for batch data pipelines
Strong ETL concepts: source-to-target mapping, data extraction from heterogeneous sources (Oracle, flat files, other RDBMS), complex business rule transformations, incremental loads, CDC strategies, and load optimization
Experience building and supporting data warehouse / data mart solutions end-to-end, including staging, integration, and presentation layers with robust error handling, logging, and restartability
Solid understanding of data quality and governance: data profiling, validation rules, reconciliation checks, referential integrity, and handling of bad data through audit and exception processes
Strong debugging and production support capabilities for Oracle PL/SQL and Informatica ETL jobs, including root-cause analysis of data/ETL failures and performance bottlenecks
Good understanding of SDLC processes and working in agile or iterative delivery models, including participation in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of data solutions
