Data Engineering Manager

Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing data engineering team, including HR responsibilities such as performance management and PTO reviews
Oversee and participate in hands-on development and technical delivery of data solutions
Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines using Python, SQL, DBT, Snowflake, and modern ETL tools (Apache NiFi, Openflow)
Champion the adoption of AI/ML tools and cloud-based code review/deployment processes
Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and innovative data solutions
Drive process improvements, team learning, and adoption of best practices across the data engineering organization
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
Proven experience leading medium-to-large technical teams (ideally 10–20+ engineers)
Deep expertise in Snowflake and DBT
Familiarity with modern ETL frameworks such as Apache NiFi or Openflow
Ability to work onsite in Minneapolis
Preferred
Experience with AI/ML integration in data workflows
Familiarity with cloud-based code review and deployment processes
Consulting mindset and ability to drive process change
Experience in financial services, private equity, or regulated industries
