This role is responsible for managing MCA collections matters from default through recovery, working closely with internal leadership and external counsel to move matters efficiently and strategically.

Responsibilities
Manage MCA collections matters from default through resolution
Prepare, review, and file collection-related documents (demands, COJs, motions, settlements, etc.)
Coordinate with outside counsel, courts, sheriffs, and vendors
Track and manage UCC filings, judgments, liens, levies, and enforcement actions
Maintain organized, up-to-date records on active collection files
Assist with recovery strategy, negotiations, and settlements
Ensure compliance with applicable MCA regulations and state laws
Provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders
Qualification
Required
5+ years of paralegal experience, with significant hands-on MCA collections experience
Deep familiarity with MCA agreements and personal guarantees
Deep familiarity with Confessions of Judgment
Deep familiarity with UCC filings and enforcement
Deep familiarity with Judgment enforcement and post-judgment remedies
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
Able to manage multiple active matters independently
Strong communication and follow-through skills
Preferred
Background at an MCA fund, specialty finance firm, or MCA-focused law firm
Experience handling New York MCA collections and enforcement
Comfortable working directly with senior leadership
