Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with engineering and operational teams to ensure adherence to facility data management programs and standards
Demonstrate a proactive attitude toward learning and mastering company standards, processes, and best practices
Expertly utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings
Develop and coordinate multi-disciplinary site plans, foundation location plans, concrete details, rebar schedules, materials lists, soil erosion and sediment control plans, steel location plans, steel details, stakeout plans, and related documents
Provide technical support by designing and producing drawings for complex engineering projects, ensuring precision and clarity
Independently evaluate project needs, plan workflows, and contribute significantly to project success
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to accurately interpret project requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date facility drawings for plants, stations, and above-ground appurtenances supporting operations, maintenance, engineering, and construction efforts
Manage drawing lifecycle from initial concept through as-built documentation, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and ease of future maintenance
Qualification
Required
Education: Associate of Applied Science in Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent work experience in related fields
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in drafting with at least 3 years focused on independent design assignments; extensive experience in the gas and oil industry preferred
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and 3D modeling techniques
Technical Skills: Experience working with survey data points and reference files
Technical Skills: Familiarity with drawing units including architectural feet & inches and decimal feet
Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, NEC, ISA, AISC, UBC, NFPA, AWS, NACE, IBC, and more
Technical Skills: Background in concrete and steel design and detailing
Preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional correspondence and team collaboration
Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences, fostering understanding and teamwork
Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset
Adaptability to changing project priorities and environments
