The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of limited maintenance work within a bowling facility, requiring heavy physical effort in lifting and moving objects as well as using heavy hand tools and operating equipment.

Responsibilities
Cleans, oils, and polishes the bowling lanes and lane approaches adhering to established standards
Sweeps, dusts, and cleans other areas of the bowling facility; collects and removes trash; and maintains all areas in a clean and orderly fashion
Hand sands and varnishes minor flaws in lanes until surface can be conditioned
Makes minor corrective adjustments to bowling lane machinery as necessary and performs periodic minor preventive maintenance on automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment
Maintains stock levels and records on spare parts for automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment
Advises bowling facility management of unusual maintenance problems
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Some degree of manual skill and prior work experience is required to work safely with heavy hand tools or to operate, control, and clean heavy power equipment
Continual care and attention must be exercised to prevent accidents because of the nature of the duties and the kind of equipment used
Supervisor provides oral or written work instructions
Independently completes work assignments
Detailed instructions or continual supervision is not provided for most duties, however, supervisor is available for special work assignments
Works indoors in areas that may be dusty, drafty, and noisy
Special care is required to avoid serious injuries
Requires caution in working with moving parts during operation of equipment
This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results
This position requires the incumbent to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations
Incumbent must be physically in Germany before a firm/final job offer can be received
