Responsibilities

Manages spare parts program to ensure availability of parts when needed
Works with Procurement to facilitate the sourcing of parts in accordance with procurement policies and standards
Maintains and responsible for quality of spare part information/data in the maintenance support systems (e.g. SAP, CMMS, automated storage units)
Works with Maintenance Scheduler and CMMS Administrator to ensure parts are available when and where needed
Works with maintenances teams, other groups, and/or individuals to define spare parts strategy and tactics
Works with maintenance teams, other groups, and/or individuals to identify and disposition obsolete spare parts
Contributes to process optimization through equipment design improvements, changes to operating procedures and maintenance activities
Participates in audit preparation and audits
Implements permanent corrective actions to eliminate recurrent problems
Maintains a high level of knowledge of the manufacturing technologies, processes and equipment to provide support for all needs in all areas
Trains associates in the proper use of the spare parts system
Pursues continued growth in TPM, maintenance planning practices, CMMS utilization, and spare parts management
Responds and executes work with a sense of urgency and utilizes support systems to minimize downtime
Performs all tasks in accordance with company and department policies, procedures, and guidelines
Assist with training, documentation, CMMS, and scheduling as required
May lead special projects
May handle, collect, label and transfer hazardous waste following established procedures and guidelines

Required

High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years experience
Works effectively and professionally with operations, team members, and engineers
Tasks are completed in a timely fashion and correct the first time
Understand and comply with department policies and procedures
Ability and willingness to adapt to work interruptions, changing priorities, and manage a diverse workload
Ability to work independently and efficiently on projects
Complete projects per schedule
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Proficient with metric and English measurement systems
Solid understanding of technologies, processes, and maintenance methods applicable in all areas
Progressive record of continuing and broadening knowledge and scope in maintenance techniques and new equipment technologies
Proficient with, and effective use of, relevant PC software applications
Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines and practices
Exceptional prioritization and multitasking skills
Strong detail orientation and ability to review and error-check a wide variety of technical documents
Demonstrated fluency with database and information systems required by the department
Thorough understanding of preventative maintenance programs, requirements, and benefits
Proficient with quality systems as they pertain to maintenance and effective point of contact during quality system audits of the maintenance program
Ensures components, parts, etc. meet all EHS requirements; e.g. NEC, NFPA, OSHA
Manufacturing Environment requirements include: use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, and hand/finger dexterity
Must be able to work in a clean room environment, adhere to associated policies, and perform gowning of clean room attire in the allotted time prior to start up
Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds and transport up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment
Requires good manual dexterity and visual acuity including ability to distinguish colors
Must be able to work under florescent lighting
Requires the ability to sit or stand through the duration of a shift
