Responsibilities
Analyze and evaluate garments to develop precise fit specifications that meet brand standards
Ensure product development aligns with established fit quality, manufacturing capabilities, and cost specifications
Develop comprehensive technical specifications and communicate detailed fit requirements to vendors and factories
Collaborate with factories to make necessary adjustments, preserving design integrity of approved prototypes while monitoring quality and target pricing
Potentially guide and mentor Assistant or Associate Technical Designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of dedicated experience in technical design within the apparel industry
Preferred
A flexible and adaptable approach, thriving in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional problem-solving skills, able to navigate complex challenges with innovative solutions
A supportive and collaborative team player
The ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in demanding situations
Demonstrated expertise and deep knowledge within your technical design field
Experience with volunteer or community service, showcasing a commitment beyond professional endeavors
Availability to work in the office as needed for critical fit sessions
