Responsibilities
Program CNC mills and/or lathes using Mastercam
Develop efficient machining strategies, including toolpaths, speeds, and feeds
Interpret blueprints, solid models, and GD&T requirements
Support machine setups, prove-outs, and first-article production
Troubleshoot programming and machining issues on the shop floor
Optimize cycle times, tool life, and part quality
Select tooling, fixtures, and workholding solutions
Maintain program documentation, revisions, and backups
Collaborate with machinists, operators, engineering, and quality teams
Follow all safety and quality procedures
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED (technical degree or certification preferred)
3+ years of CNC programming experience in a job shop environment
Proficiency in Mastercam (Mill and/or Lathe)
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
Solid understanding of machining processes and cutting tools
Experience with CNC controls such as Haas, Fanuc, or similar
Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs
Ability to work on the shop floor
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Must wear steel-toed boots
Must pass a background check and drug screen
Preferred
Experience with 4-axis or 5-axis programming
Hands-on machining or setup experience
Experience machining multiple materials (aluminium, steel, stainless, plastics)
Familiarity with ISO, AS9100, or other quality systems
Experience with fixture design and process planning
