Responsibilities
Lead and support evaluation and research projects that focus on education, workforce, public health, and other related areas
Participate in research planning, communicate with external research partners, and collect, organize and analyze primary and secondary data from a range of sources
Compile research results in publications, formal reports, and interactive web-based environments using software such as Tableau
Make significant independent contributions to the development and execution of research projects
Communicate effectively and collaborate with the research team, performing a wide variety of tasks that require ingenuity, resourcefulness, planning, and flexibility
Direct the work of junior team members occasionally, and complete other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of research function. Demonstrated ability to independently carry out small-medium size research projects, and larger projects with support. Proven skills to plan and execute research studies
Demonstrated knowledge of education, social science, and workforce research, as evidenced by presentations, publications, and grants awarded in these areas
Demonstrated skills in project management, including the ability to develop study protocols and timelines and to oversee the successful implementation of research methodologies
Advanced knowledge of survey design and survey data collection. Experience with designing surveys related to education and workforce. Working knowledge of the web-based survey platform, Qualtrics
Working skills in analysis and consultation. Demonstrated success and proven ability to develop data analysis plans and conduct data analyses, and write manuscripts/reports applying knowledge and understanding of education, social science, and workforce
Working skills in statistical analysis, systems programming, database design and data security measures. Training and experience with conducting a wide range of statistical analyses, including descriptive and inferential statistics (e.g., regression, analysis of variance, factor analysis, structural equation model, cluster analysis), and statistical software or analytics platforms (e.g., R, SPSS, Excel, Dedoose, SAS, Python, Stata, Tableau)
Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing. Strong demonstrated ability to make original contributions to research design and publication and experience with executing large-scale research projects
Demonstrated expertise to translate scientific language into easily understood concepts for widespread dissemination via reports and oral presentations
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Bachelor's degree in related area and /or equivalent experience / training
